HAWKING IN NAIROBI Hawking has been a major problem in this city. We tend to see how the hawkers struggle with the city council police in the streets. Where is the government when all this is happening? The hawkers pay taxes but the city councils are not satisfied with what they are given because they are too greedy for that. The government should come up with small stalls also known as “vibandas” to cater for the hawkers.
