Mistakes of a father

I have grown in a society where people judge  me on the mistakes of my father. It is not as harsh for me as it is for a young Somali or Arabic child.It is hard to make friend because baba Mbugua,baba Otieno or even baba kiprop doesn't want his boys to be seen with me rest I recruit them into alshabab.
  If I would fall in love with Nduku we have to keep it a secret lest her father sees us and ships her to the end of the world. I can't line up in a bank in peace because I will get those weird looks like am carrying a bomb. It is not better on public transportation my fellow passengers will be insecure because of my presence, if an announcement could come on the radio on terrorism, they will not mince their words on how evil we are and how we should all be shipped back to Somali.
Unlike a black man who will be judged on the skin color but still gets the chance to prove himself, I don't have the chance, people see me and see death. People might even refuse to board a plane just because am on it am more feared than snake. I can't be seen in a big crowd, I will kill these infidels ,they assume.
  I am a victim just as Njeri, Atieno, Carol are, it is even worse because am seen as a betrayer, and my punishment is death am a wanted person in all terrorist books and probably my head has a price. I want to be accepted to hung out with Kerubo and be up to mischief, be a child just like any other, don't judge me on my fathers mistakes, am my own person and I choose my path. The more you push me away the more I fall into the wrong company where I feel wanted but they truth is they just Want to use me to fulfill their purpose. What is my purpose, when will I be a journalist, a lawyer or an enviromentalist if you all let me fall into terrorist hands.
   I don't dream of dying with so many people,I dream just like you having a great life, even driving a Ferrari or Bugatti. Having a hot wife/husband and seeing my kids grow up. Lemme fall in the right hands so I can be a heart surgeon or cure cancer. Am a child just like any other and my young empty brain can be filled with anything evil or good protect me from childhood not when I have been brain washed

It should be called black Thursday.
A day when terrorists attacked our university, a building collapsed in Roysambu an accident along Nakuru High way also killed and some others we have not heard.
A time has come when we should realise how vital our input in security is.Imagine if the person who knew about the Garissa attack had taken action and reported, could all those lives be lost?
If drivers athered to road rules and refused to give bribes as passengers refused to board as excess in PSVs and watch as drivers give bribes and break rules?
 If building owners used the right way to get plans and all the necessary requirements were met, if contractors used the right materials to build and hired qualified labour and not cutting cost?
  As much as the government may come in it starts with you  and me  the president will not be everywhere watching who is boarding an already full Matatu, he will not be able to see all those giving bribes but if you report someone somewhere will hear you shame them on social media and even main stream media and slowly but steadly we will see changes
